June 24th, 2024 will mark the 2nd anniversary of the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
A women’s strike will be held in recognition of this decision and the continued fight for human rights and reproductive rights. The AWRCSASA will be participating in this strike in solidarity with our American sisters. On this day, and every day we encourage everyone to support women-owned businesses (local, if possible).
The centre will be hosting a gathering on June 24th from 11:00-1:00pm which will include a Q&A panel of young adults, as well as a slideshow display, and light refreshments. People are encouraged to wear red.
